How does FareShare Cymru support member organisations?
Want to receive food from FareShare Cymru?
FareShare Cymru supplies over 210 vital frontline provisions across Wales with fresh, tasty, in date surplus food from the food industry. If your charity, community group, social enterprise, school or other not-for-profit organisation uses food to support people in your local community, you can sign up to receive food too.
FareShare Cymru has access to a wide variety of quality foods, from meat to vegetables, to baked beans. Because of our strong links across the food industry, we work hard to source a regular supply of the food types you need in the quantities you need.
FareShare Cymru members are charged a minimal fee for the food they receive – the retail value of the food received is 5-10 times the membership fee paid. In addition to the full food orders from our warehouse, members have access to free surplus food from local supermarkets through FareShare Go. This means they can use their funds on other vital services. On average members save £7,900 per year on their food bill.
FareShare Cymru is a strong community of members who we support with food provision and more. If your needs change, we can adapt our service to match. We can provide advice on food safety, and can offer volunteering opportunities to service users. We can represent your views at forums and as part of a network of likeminded organisations, we will let you know about any news that could benefit you.
