Sarah was one of the founding directors, playing a lead role in establishing FareShare in South Wales and has headed up FareShare Cymru since 2012. Working with the Board of Trustees, Sarah has the overall responsibility for the leadership, management and strategic direction of the charity. She is excited about the growth plans for the charity over the coming months and years to ensure that FareShare Cymru plays a major part in tackling food waste and food insecurity issues.

Gerry heads a team which manages the day-to-day operation of the depot including food safety, health and safety, intake, storage and delivery of food and providing a framework in which our volunteers can learn new skills and work efficiently as a team.

Katie joined in 2019 and heads up the development team. Her role focuses on the growth of the organisation to ensure we can support even more frontline charities and community groups with good quality surplus and that we can support food businesses with solutions for their surplus.

Emma assists Gerry with day-to-day operations, including ensuring inbound goods are booked in, creating picking lists, managing deliveries and keeping the delivery schedule up to date.

Shane used to volunteer with us but now works as Assistant Operations Manager. His role involves recording and preparing the food we receive from food manufacturers and supermarket distribution centres for local organisations and communities throughout Wales.

Sarah looks after the organisation’s financial data and compliance. She’s responsible for maintaining accurate books and records and regular accounting tasks including daily financial records and monthly financial reporting.

Simon was with the Wales Co-operative Centre for 18 years (7 as CEO) and is a Board member of the WCVA. Currently employed in the public sector with the Competition and Markets Authority. Joined Board of Fareshare Cymru in 2016 and became Chair in 2020.

Chris has been a Trustee at Fareshare Cymru since January 2020. A Chartered Surveyor whose background is in construction and estates and runs a small consultancy specialising in workplace management

Stephen is a Director of an established Software Company and believes that technology and equality go hand in hand. He shares the same values as FareShare and was proud to have joined the Board in 2021.
